Stadium
Although we are still in our inaugural season, the Carnivores football team has already made plans to move to a brand new, state-of-the-art stadium. While our current stadium provides a more than ample setting, we feel moving to greener pastures will enhance the experience of attending a Carnivores football game. Although no concrete plans have been set, we are considering two proposals at this time:
Proposal 1
Engellenner and Sons of Los Angeles has proposed a 75,000-seat arena (see photo above) that would have a retractable dome with the likeness of team owner Jack on it. Luxuries will include VIP seating on the goalposts and a Jack in the Box drive-thru window on the 50-yard-line during TV timeouts and halftime.
Proposal 2
Pillow Fort Designs of Chicago has proposed a unique stadium that would rest at the base of a picturesque gully. While technological advancements like the Picture-In-Picture Jumbo-Tron make this stadium unique, critics have voiced their concerns about some foreseeable drawbacks, including the fact that the entrances and exits have been funneled into a single turnstile because the stadium is surrounded by hillsides.
Honorable Mention
For extra school credit, a class of 4th graders from San Diego, California created their own proposal for the new stadium. The 800,000-seat "Super-Mega-Awesome Dome" will feature beanbag chairs rather than the traditional plastic seats. For safety purposes, the stadium will be equipped with glass cases containing both fire extinguishers and juice boxes and entrance gates will not only have wheelchair access, but also separate ramps providing scooter access.
