Carnivores Trainer Cal O' Reese awarded the team, and the Chimps, with Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburger Combos after the game. "Jack Jumbo Sizes the fries and drink for free, which made sense for us," said O' Reese. "Especially since the Chimps throw more food than they eat."
Meet the Owner MEET THE OWNER

Standing at 6 feet, 8 inches tall, the owner of the Carnivores looks more like a player than an owner. But to anyone who has turned on their TV in the last six years, he looks more like the owner of a billion-dollar fast food company than the owner of a Pro football team. As of January 28, 2001, Jack Box has become both.

Jack, as he is most commonly known, recently became the proud owner of the Carnivores Football organization, adding the fledgling team to his long list of accomplishments and acquisitions. Although this is Jack's first foray into football team ownership, he is no stranger to leading a winning team.

As the owner and founder of Jack in the Box, Restaurants, Jack has seen the company expand to over 1600 locations across the United States, and has starred in 277 television and radio commercials for the company. His army of antenna balls, which were made in his likeness to promote his Sourdough Jack Sandwich, has grown to over 10 million strong.

Jack is no stranger to the public eye, either. In 1996, Jack ran for president and beat out Bill Clinton, Bob Dole and Dogbert (a popular cartoon character) in a national independent Virtual Vote poll. In 1999, Jack joined the likes of Fred Flintstone, Santa Claus and Batman when a likeness of his noggin was placed on top of a Pez dispenser.

But why, after all this success, did Jack turn to football? "All my CEO friends started buying sports franchises and it sounded like fun," said Jack. And what about the rumors that Jack Jr. will be wearing number 51 for the Carnivores? Jack says: "No."
